Short answer: safer than most tools on the market, but not zero risk. Wardogs ships with Easy Anti-Cheat in kernel mode, which means the anti-cheat has the same level of access to your machine as your operating system does. Any provider who tells you a kernel-mode game is 100% ban-proof is either lying or does not understand what they are selling.
Here is the honest picture, in the order it actually matters.
What EAC sees from kernel
Kernel-mode anti-cheat sits below your normal programs. It can inspect loaded drivers, hooked system calls, memory allocated to the game process, threads attached to the game, and signed-vs-unsigned code running on your box. It also fingerprints your hardware and reports telemetry back to BULKHEAD’s detection team.
What EAC does not do is watch every pixel on your screen or read your mind. Detection is pattern-based. New patterns roll out with game patches, hotfixes, and quiet server-side pushes. That is why a tool can be clean on Monday and flagged on Wednesday.
What the ops desk does on our end
The Wardogs loader runs against a private test rig every push cycle. When EA (2026-09-10) hits, we expect BULKHEAD to update EAC on their normal cadence plus a handful of surprise pushes in the first few weeks. Our loop:
- A private paid tester runs the menu on a burner Steam account against live servers every build.
- Signature checks, thread injection paths, and driver load order get re-verified after every EAC push.
- If anything smells wrong, the loader goes offline. Status page flips to red before support tickets can pile up.
We would rather sit at red for a day than let the loader run into a fresh detection. Uptime is a metric; your account is not replaceable.
What you can do on your end
Most bans we see across kernel-AC games trace back to user behavior, not the loader. Four habits that matter:
- Fresh account. Bring a burner Steam login with no ties to your main. If a ban lands, you lose the burner, not four years of library.
- Do not stream with the menu visible. Overlays render into capture software. Trust and Safety teams do watch clips.
- HWID spoofer for a second rig. If you were banned before on this hardware, read the HWID guide before loading.
- Do not brag in-game. Voice chat and text logs are the fastest path to a manual review. Silent wins survive; loud ones get flagged by players and reported upward.
We cannot promise zero bans on a kernel-mode game, and neither can any other provider. Anyone claiming a permanent guarantee against EAC is selling a story. Buy accordingly: use a burner, keep your main untouched, and treat any cheat purchase as spending you accept as gone if things go sideways.
Refund posture on the rare-but-real ban
We do not replace ban losses. That is a hard line, and it is the same line every honest provider draws. Your Steam account, your ranked progress, your in-game currency — none of that is something we can restore, and pretending otherwise would be a lie sold at your expense.
What we do refund is scoped and listed in full on the refund policy: unused keys inside 24 hours, loader downtime that stretches beyond a reasonable window, and duplicate purchases. If the loader is offline, the status page is where you check first before opening a ticket.
